720 Boardshop | In-Store Exclusive

Last Saturday night, June 26th 2010 the 720 Board Shop opened its arms to welcome in the GRO Project.  The night was proudly hosted by the 720 Board Shop’s new store located at Arapahoe Rd & University Blvd, in the Southglenn mall.   Working with an amazing sunset accenting the night’s simple yet colorful clothing and skate gear collage, GRO project photographers excelled in what is sure to be considered some of our most amazing photos this year.

GRO Project was joined by another local artist.  This local artist was contracted by 720 to put his incredible designs onto a skate deck.   720 Board Shop is leading the charge for local artists to get their media to the public.  720’s unlimited dedication to locals and their art is a main reason GRO Project was so graciously given the green light to the 720 family.

As visitors were able to catch a glimpse of what GRO Project’s second season of apparel is all about, GRO Project itself caught glimpses of true dedication to lifestyle in the form of local skater Tucker Dunn.  Tucker, steeped in sweat and eager to get back to skating, stopped by to talk shop with GRO Project Reps.  One thing led to another and the next thing you know there we were…

The pavement wet, the sun setting and GRO Project lenses fixed for a photo shoot, the scene was set for a little fun and passionate dedication.   Waiting for the pavement to dry is exactly what it sounds like, and let me tell you it SUX AND I HATE IT.  OK, I really don’t “hate” it.  And these pictures are why I don’t HATE, I APPRECIATE!!!

The night finally gave way and the skate session was in full effect.  Wind howling and rain drops falling, Tucker faithfully begins his run around the park.  Feeling the ins and outs of the hips and spines like a seasoned veteran is second nature to Tucker.  Tucker proudly gives props to the GRO Project by sporting the High Society shirt with a unique flavor.  It is always a blessing to see the declaration to dedication that GRO Project actively seeks and is lucky enough to capture.

Although snapping action shots in low light can be enough to dampen anyone’s spirit, GRO photographers are as dedicated to the shoot as Tucker is to shredding the walls of slick concrete.

The special edition GRO x Red Bull collaboration in purple tee was nice enough to anoint us with some excellent photos as well.  This photo shoot was pure improv and really just plain fun.   Jumping in for some quick picks was only the next logical step!

The night ended as the sunset dripped behind the mountains.  Still armed with our cameras and ninja-like skills to snap the impromptu tricks being tossed around by Tucker, we were still focusing our lenses and snapping our shutters until the last bit of light trickled away.

Thanks and gratitude to all those who participated in the successful alliance of 720 Board Shop and the GRO Project.  Special thanks to Travis, Joel & the whole 720 Team who made this possible.
